Every other month, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Biloxi, Miss. looks to provide for the community with a food pantry.
People from the community sign up for the goods and volunteers help assist loading vehicles with fresh fruits, veggies, snacks, and meat. The organization Feeding the Gulf Coast provides the church with enough food to feed roughly around 125 families.
Senior Pastor Michel Rodriguez tells News 25 anytime they can assist those in need it’s a great day for the community. “This is our mission. Our mission is to serve our community, so to provide a place and good environment for people to come and feel like this is a place to receive help. This is why we exist. The church is to exist and serve to be a part of the community.”
