As fall is emerging and children are back in school, we note life’s cycles and the renewal of God’s grace and goodness in our lives.
This month, at Gulf States Conference, we saw an emphasis on training our local church leaders, from the Treasurer’s Retreat at Camp Alamisco in Dadeville, AL to the Adventist Digital Evangelism Training (ADET) held here at the Conference Office. Both events gave us a chance to empower local leaders while also providing a space for spiritual renewal.
Another place where we re-emphasized the importance of a relationship with Jesus was with our young people through World Pathfinder Day, the Week of Prayer at Bass Memorial Academy and University visits by Young Adult Ministry Director, Pastor Marcelo Mansur.
As we look at the world around us, the technology and the digital world, I believe it is setting the foundation for the last angel’s message, a cry that will go out that is not by accident, it is by providence. As sure as God established the circumstances of the coming of Jesus, so He is setting the circumstances before the second coming, and the emphasis will be on communication.
We know in the last days we are told that we're going to see the hand of God taking up this work, and that those last movements will be rapid ones, showing us that God is taking the reins.
