Hoover Christian School, a K-12 school in Hoover, Alabama, is seeking applicants for a Principal. Hoover Christian School (www.hooverchristianschool.org) is located in the southern foothills of the Appalachian Mountains just south of Birmingham, Alabama. Hoover Christian School teaches all high school classes, but 11th and 12th grade accreditation is through a partnership with a senior academy in the Southern Union. Hoover Christian School is a multicultural school accurately representing its locale and churches.  The Principal is accountable for the overall day-to-day administration and operation of Hoover Christian School so as to ensure the optimum fulfillment of its mission and mandate, in accordance with the administrative and educational policies of Hoover Christian School, the Gulf States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and the associated laws and regulations of the State of Alabama.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others. 

* This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Gr. 7-12 Bible and PE (other course combinations are possible depending on endorsements).

Experience:

Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with secondary endorsements in Bible and PE (if applicants only have junior academy endorsements but are willing to seek secondary endorsements, HCS would still be interested).  Applicants should possess, qualify for, or be willing to take the necessary coursework to receive NAD certification.  Multi-grade experience in an Adventist school is preferred.  Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy.
